Just Sharing

DH rarely sent me emails, not to mention jokes, forwarded emails and attachments. However, I received a slide show from him today. His message was, "Shows some pics or very poor people from Africa. We are very fortunate". As usual, many typos and very brief. But as his wife, I understand him - 惜福

This photo is taken from the slide show to share with all of you. It has been a long while since I last feel TOUCHED. Seeing this photo brings lots of pain to my heart and water (tears) to my eyes...
[Some of you may have seen this photo before since it is an award-winning photo.]

This photo is the "Pulitzer Prize" winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan Famine. The picture depicts a famine-striken child crawling towards a United Nation food camp, located a kilometre away. The vulture in the photo was waiting for the child to die so that it could feed on him. This photo shocked the whole world when published.

No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer who left the scene as soon as the photo was taken. Three months later, he (the photographer) committed suicide due to depression.

Over here I am surfing the Internet, looking for stuff to purchase and to stock up for Q for CNY... I cant help but whisper to Q who is sound asleep, "你真好命."
